It all started on December 6th 2024, when 157 families across the Colony and Silver Shores manufactured home communities received a notice that the land beneath their homes was for sale. Property was transferred to a charity, which listed both parks for sale.
In December 2024 we received a notice about “the opportunity to compete” since the land beneath our homes was for sale.
Unifying 80% of our tenants
We established a board, and incorporated as a legal entity – NW Colony Mobile Community LLC.
The property was forced into auction despite community efforts, facilitated through a Northwest ROC (Resident-Owned Community) organization, to raise the assessed value and secure an LIO loan.
We teamed up with WAMHO, and at the same time we filed complaints with the Attorney General. Interfering with the sale gave us an opportunity to have more time.
The Clark County Council unanimously approved a six-month emergency ordinance to pause all applications to redevelop mobile and manufactured home parks.
On October 15th the Clark County Council unanimously voted to extend a temporary freeze on redevelopment applications for manufactured home parks. This vote was required by state law within 60 days after the emergency ordinance was approved.
We remain engaged in an active legal battle with a real opportunity to purchase the land beneath our homes.

We accept donations to raise 21 million to purchase our parks. Here is our case on GoFundMe site
We need to raise 21 million to purchase our parks. This is the price of our freedom from displacement. We have until September 2026 to raise the capital necessary to re-engage the sale and buy our land once and for all.
If you want to support us go to GoFundMe to make donation.
